Elvin Hoxha Ganiev

Biography

Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev was born on November 25th, 1997. Elvin started to study the violin with his grandfather, Prof. Server Ganiyev, the state artist of Azerbaijan, at the Bilkent University, department of Music when he was 5 years old, Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev was admitted to the Zurich Conservatory "Young Student" programme as a student of Zachar Bron when he was 8. Concurrently, he gave his first orchestra concert with his grandfather in the Albert Long Hall at Boğaziçi University.

Elvin has worked with renowned conductors such as Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Spivakov, Gürer Aykal, Rauf Abdullayev, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Server Ganiyev, Sascha Goetzel, Rengim Gökmen, Murat Kodallı, Işın Metin, Naci Özgüç, Valery Vorona, Klaus Weise, Erol Erdinç, Ender Sakpınar,Nikolay Lalov, and David Bernard. He received favorable mentions from legendary conductors like Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta and Gennady Rozhdestvensky who listened his performance and considered him to be one of the virtuoso artists for the future. Elvin has given many concerts in prominent concert halls around the world such as Carnegie Hall [New York], Berlin Philarmonic Hall [Berlin], Kremlin Palace [Moscow], Tchaikovsky Concert Hall [Moscow], Concertgebouw [Amsterdam] and Zurich Tonhalle [Zurich]. He also has worked with the significant ensembles among which are Moscow Virtuosi, the Shanghai Chamber Orchestra, Amsterdam Philarmonic Orchestra, Borusan Philarmonic, Azerbaijani Philarmonic, Qatar Philarmonic, Odessa Philarmonic Orchestra, Bilkent Chamber Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, , Russian Virtuosi, Bron Chamber Orchestra, Burgogne Lyric Orchestra, Presidential Symphony Orchestra, İstanbul State Symphony, Bursa State Symphony, Antalya State Symphony, Eskişehir State Symphony, İzmir State Symphony Orchestra and the Bilkent Symphony.

Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev performed on the same stage with masters like Ivri Gitlis, Vladimir Spivakov, Zakhar Bron, Vadim Repin, Server Ganiyev, Viktor Pikayzen, Güher-Süher Pekinel, Cihat Aşkın and Fazıl Say. Performing a number of international festivals in İstanbul, Mersin, Spivakov (Russia), Rostropovich (Azerbaijan), Oettingen (Germany), Graubünden, Zurich and Interlaken (Switzerland), Chestasova (Poland), "Voices of Peace" (France), Chalkidikis and Salonika (Greece), he also gave concerts and recitals in England, Belgium, Czech Republic, Norway, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Italy and Egypt.

After performing in the closing concert of Spivakov Festival in Moscow in 2013, he played as the soloist of the Azerbaijan Philarmonic Orchestra in Cannes Music Festival. His most recent highlights feature his performance with Bron Chamber Orchestra in Zurich, Tonhalle in 2014. Besides, playing in Interlaken Classics, Cannes, Megaron (Greece), Floreal Epinal and Gabala Music Festivals, he gave recitals in Munich. In March 2015, Elvin performed with Berlin Philarmonic and played with Vladimir Azhkenazy and Esther Yoo at the Interlaken Classics Festival in Switzerland. Elvin went on stage with Vadim Repin in a concert bringing the stars of four generations together in Trans Siberian Art Festival. In October 2015, he gave a concert at the Carnegie Hall with BMTG Chamber Orchestra. In June 2015, he made recording with LTG Young Soloists Chamber Orchestra from Sony Music Production. In 2016, He was a semi finalist in the 1st International Shanghai Violin Competition between August and September in 2016 in China.

Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev, who started studying with Prof. Server Ganiyev, is the student in the class of Prof. Zakhar Bron at Kalaidos University Music Academy in Zurich, Switzerland and Escuela Superior, Reina Sofia in Madrid, Spain.
